Mr. Claude Marion Strange, 92, of Clinton, Arkansas died peacefully Wednesday, July 5, 2012. He was born January 8, 1920 in Bagnal, Missouri to Charles Wesley and Alice May (Conner) Strange. Claude was widely known for his woodcarving ability. He won numerous first place ribbons for his detailed carving of eagles and Indian heads. He was a member of the National Woodcarvers Association and the Archeology Soiciety. He was an active member of First Baptist Church in Clinton, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his wife Norma May (Thorn) Strange they were married on April 19, 1943 in Eldon, Miller County, Missouri, his sister Mabel and his brothers, Floyd, Basil, Curtis, and Charles. He is survived by his brother, Norman, his three daughters, Claudette Siegel of Clinton, Ark.; Janet and Ken Hall of Clinton, Ark.; and Linda Strange of Denton, Texas; grandchildren, Lauren Siegel, Brian and Jennifer Hall, Neil and Dionna Hall, and Wade and Annalisa Hall, seven great-grandchildren, Hunter, Hannah, Harrison, Cody, Kalyn, Courtney and Adalyn. Honorary Pallbearers: Brian Hall, Neil Hall, Wade Hall, Hunter Hall, Harrison Hall, Cody Hall, and Kalyn Hall. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. and funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2012 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton, Arkansas with Pastor Daniel Williams. Burial will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Eastlawn Cemetery Mexico, Missouri. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, Arkansas.
