RUBY MAE FINCH, 94, of North Little Rock, passed away on July 4, 2012, at Lakewood Nursing Home. She is survived by daughter, Joie Tester and husband, Ervin of North Little Rock; daughter, Debra Mitchell and husband, Rick of Krum, Texas; granddaughter, Kimberly Kudym and husband, Don of Plymouth, Mass.; sister, Emma Jean Purtle, of North Little Rock; dearest friend, Ethlyn Vance of North Little Rock; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nora and Benson Sayles of North Little Rock; her brother, Earl Sayles; sister, Mildred Hammons of Jacksonville; and baby sister Edith Sayles. Ruby retired after a long career as a teacher at Williams Elementary School in Little Rock. She was an active member of Bayo Meto Baptist Church. Ruby was vibrant person who loved to dance and spend time with her friends at the Jacksonville Senior Center. The funeral service will be Tuesday, July 10, 2012, 11 a.m. at Bayo Meto Baptist Church in Jacksonville, with Rev. David Talbert officiating. Internment will follow in Sumner Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, July 9, 2012, 6-8 p.m. at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 501-982-2136. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bayou Meto Baptist Church.
