Brother Steve Cokley Jr., 60, of Little Rock, Ark. was called to rest into eternity on July 4, 2012 at John L. McClellan Veteran's Hospital, Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born in Portland, Arkansas to Ms. Jannie Lee Glover and Mr. Steve Cokley Sr. He was the first born grandson to the Johnson-Glover Family of Hot Springs, Arkansas. His nickname was "Bo" until he started school. He served in the United States Army for 17 years as a Supervisor. He received an honorable discharge March 24, 1984. Brother Cokley was preceded in death by his parents Jannie Lee Glover Bonner, Eddie E. Bonner, Steve Cokley Sr., and baby sister, Bertha M. Glover-Cook. He leaves to cherish his memory, three sisters, Lola Ann Culbreath, Little Rock, Arkansas, Valerie Cokley (John), Detroit, Michigan and Karen Cokley, East Pointe, Michigan; two brothers, Aaron Cokley, Detroit, Michigan and Anthony Cokley (Michickia), Auburn Hills, Michigan; five children, Stephanie N. Cokley, Lisa N. Cokley, Tekola N. Cokley, Sayvon Cokley, and Steve Cokley, III; six loving children that he raised from previous marriages: Isaac Eperson, Jerome Eperson, Jennifer Epson, Corenthian Davie, Carrington Akins (Shayna), Charity Reed-Duckett(Jesse); eight grandchildren, three loving aunts, Rosie L. Graves, Essie Strickland, Julia Jackson, all of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Visitation will be Thursday, 6-7 p.m. at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S. Chester Street, Little Rock, Arkansas. Please send flower arrangements directly to funeral home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday at Gaines Street Missionary Baptist Church, 1601 S. Gaines Street, Little Rock with Pastor J. Barrington Minix, Sr.
