Lowell Gene Wallace
Lowell Gene Wallace, 62, of Benton passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012. Gene was born in Hamburg, Arkansas; he joined the Army when he was 18, where he served in the Vietnam War. Gene was a self employed painter for 25 years. He was a member of Embassy Church where friends are family. Gene was always lending a helping hand. Gene loved to hunt and spent many weekends in the woods, where he could enjoy nature.
Gene is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Patsy; two children, Lori A. Goodson and Jesse L. Wallace; two grandchildren, Lukas and Evan; five brothers and sisters, John Raymond Wallace, Joy Lynn Nelson, Barney Ray Wallace, Lloyd Wilbur Wallace and Peggy Lorraine DeHart.
Funeral services will be on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy. 5 N., Alexander, Arkansas with Brother Charles Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the funeral home.
