Annie Mae Smith Gaddie Spikes 91, of North Little Rock, AR departed this life peacefully with her family at her bedside on July 16, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Ollie Smith; her husband's, Lee Wesley Gaddie and George Spikes; son, Lawrence Gaddie; daughter, Maritha Elaine Spikes; siblings, Walter and Melvin Smith, Louise Willis and Altermise Walton. She leaves to cherish her memories: sons, Harold (Charlesetta) Edmondson North Little Rock, Lee Edward (Pearlie) Gaddie Houston Texas, Charles Larry Gaddie, North Little Rock, James Willard Gaddie, Houston Texas, Kenneth Wayne (Judy) Gaddie Marche, Reginald (Edna) Spikes Chicago, Gregory and Tyrone Spikes of Indiana; daughters, Mary Maxine Adams, Little Rock, Delores Taylor Trinidad West Indies, Margretta (Robert Lee) Jones, Sweet Home, Vivian Rose (Willie Vernell) Terry North Little Rock; siblings, Henry Smith, Sweet Home, Robert Lee Smith, Denver, Colorado, Mildred Davidson, Helen Austin, and Janice Smith all of Sweet Home and Doris Ann Holmes, Quitman, Mississippi and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to celebrate her home going. Special thanks to Dr. Neal Wyatt and the staff of the Arkansas Hospice inpatient center. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012, 11 a.m., at Moody Chapel AME Church, 5630 Mabelvale Pike, Little Rock, Ark. Interment will follow at Rest In Peace Memorial Park, Hensley, Ark. Family visitation: Friday, July 20, 2012, 6-7 pm, at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S. Chester St., LR (501) 372-1305.
