Melvin "Gene" E. Owens

Melvin "Gene" E. Owens passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 7:27 a.m. in Houma, La. He was a native of Magnolia, Ark. and a resident of Raceland, La., age 73 years. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday, July 21, 2012 at A.O. Smith Funeral Homes, Inc., Stamps, Ark. Funeral services at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Sardis Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Pat Smith Owens, sons, Charles R. Owens and wife Lisa and Donald A. Owens; brother, Bryan McMahen and two sisters, Susan Goodwin and Colette Owens. Also survived by thee grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by one son, Melvin E. Owens, Jr. and parents; Vernon and Mildred Evers Owens. Falgout Funeral Homes in charge of arrengements in Raceland and A.O. Smith Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements in Stamps.
