Robert Jackson Bennett

Robert Jackson Bennett, died in the early hours of 13 July, 2012 in Tunica County, Mississippi. Born on September 28, 1964, in Summit, New Jersey, he spent his teen-age years in Nashville, Arkansas, graduating high school as class president in 1982. He graduated from Centenary College, Shreveport, Louisiana, in 1986 with a Bachelor's degree in Geology. He spent his early working life in the hospitality industry in Little Rock and joined the cultural resource management firm of Archeological Assessments, Inc. in 1989. From 2002 to 2004 he was the project manager for the Cypress Creek Ranch, Pittsburg, Texas. At the time of his death he was the manager of Trophy Land Company. He was a life long member of the Methodist Church. An avid outdoorsman, he was a member of the Razorback Ridge hunting club and was active in numerous other hunting and conservation organizations. He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Anne Ingle, and his grandparents, W.J. and Grace Bennett and Orville and Elese Porterfield, all of Nashville, Ark. He is survived by his mother and father, Mary and Jack Bennett, of Nashville, Arkansas, a son, Garrett Jackson Bennett, a daughter, Sydney Grace Bennett, and their mother Claire Wallace Bennett, all of Little Rock, as well as a host of dear friends and colleagues. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, 21 July, at the First United Methodist Church in Nashville. Funeral arrangements will be conducted by the Nashville Funeral Home.
