Wendell Oren Shock, 77, of Sherwood passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012. He was born August 24, 1934 in Benton, Missouri to George "Bud" and Leona Hill Shock. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, a Mason and owner of Shock Antenna. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Allean Freeman Shock, of Sherwood; "adoptive" daughter, Cheryl L. Simmons (Stewart), of Hazen and her children, Holly M., Jennifer N., and Christopher W. Roberson, all of Sherwood; several nieces; nephews; "adoptive great-grandchildren"; close friends and his beloved dogs, Zoyee and Vegas. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, George C. Shock. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be 3 p.m., at Marcus Hill Cemetery in Enola, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
