Beverly McNew

Dr. Beverly M. McNew, 85, of Conway, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 18, 2012. She was born Wednesday, September 22, 1926 in Steprock, Ark., to the late Boyce and Minnie (Cariker) Martin Sr. She worked for the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service for 29 years, as the County Extension Agent serving Independence, Baxter, Marion, and Randolph Counties and later completed her career as a District Program Leader. Beverly is survived by her daughter, Terrie Treadway (Curtis) of Stamps, Ark.; two grandchildren, Christi (Treadway) Bjornberg (Shane) of Owasso, Okla., and Tracy (Treadway) Lilly (Chris) of Texarkana, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Ava Rose Bjornberg, Austyn Lilly and Landyn Lilly; sister, Bobbie Bennett of Conway, Ark.; eight step-children; 19 step-grandchildren and 25 step- great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband Leonard Ray Morris; second husband Robert D. McNew; two sisters, Dr. Betty Martin, and Blenda Martin; two brothers, Boyce Martin Jr. (Doris) and Bill Martin (Anna Joyce). Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Roller- McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Pastor Donna Roundtree officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
