Cleo Earl Hill

Cleo Earl Hill of Fort Worth, Texas, joined his Creator and Redeemer on July 17, 2012. He was born in Vernon, Texas on December 31, 1920 and graduated from Sudan High School in 1939. Cleo was married to Dorothy Poteet in 1941 and remained her faithful and loving husband for 67 years. He served in the Army during WWII in the South Pacific from 1942-1946. Cleo became a resident in Fort Worth in 1946. He worked as a route salesman for Foremost Dairies from 1946-1962. He then became an agent for State Farm Insurance and retired in 1991. Cleo cared for his wife Dorothy from 1997-2009 as she went through the stages of Alzheimer's. Cleo was a man of integrity in work, marriage and caring for his family. He loved people, his country, golf, baseball and watching his garden grow. Cleo was a member of Handley United Methodist Church. He served well and loved his brothers and sisters in the church for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Poteet Hill; his parents, Palmer and Pearl Hill, and three brothers and one sister. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Norman and grandson, Daniel Norman of Little Rock, Arkansas; his granddaughter, Kenyon Quatrino, great-granddaughters, Avery and Anna Quatrino, and great-grandson, John Daniel Quatrino of Land-o-Lakes, Florida; his brother, Delmar Hill of Las Vegas, Nevada and many nieces, nephews and extended family. A Celebration for Cleo's life will be held at Handley United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 10 a.m. The visitation will be held at Moore Funeral Home on Friday, July 20, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 101 Summit Ave., Fort Worth, Texas, 76012; Handley United Methodist Church, 2929 Forrest Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas, 70112; Cancer Care Services, 623 South Henderson Street, Fort Worth, Texas, 76104.
