Wilsie Mae Barrett Colclasure, 95, of Sherrill, Arkansas died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 in Little Rock. Born October 6, 1916 in Sherrill, a daughter of the late Henry Rush and Martha Eva Craig Barrett, she was reared and received her early education from Barrett Elementary in Sherrill, graduating from Altheimer High School. She married Joe Curtis Colclasure in Sherrill, September 15, 1940 and spent most of her life, along with her family, making Sherrill a vibrant community. She was a member of Sherrill United Methodist Church, serving her church in every possible capacity. She was a lifetime member of United Methodist Women. She served on the Sherrill City Council for many years. She was a member and past president of the Sherrill Civic Club. Her survivors include two sons, Joe Barrett Colclasure and wife Judith of Little Rock, Ray Eugene Colclasure and wife Barbara of Pine Bluff; sister, Ada Katheryn Albright of Little Rock; grandchildren, Jill Smith, Jane Slarks, Chris Colclasure, Patrick Colclasure; nine great-grandchildren; and a special niece and nephew, Kitten Coop and Bill Albright. Her husband of 61 years died October 26, 2001. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Henry Rush Barrett, Jr., and sister, Clifton Eugene "Gene" Turk. Services are Monday, July 23rd at 10 a.m. at graveside in Bellwood Annex Cemetery in Pine Bluff with Reverends David Fleming and William Ferguson officiating, directed by Ralph Robinson & Son.
