George Mahan

George Mahan, 59, of Martinville, went to be with his Lord, Monday, July 23, 2012 at his home. He was born Thursday, February 26, 1953 in Martinville to the late Alvin "Buck" Mahan and the late Maxine Traffanstedt Mahan. He was a graduate of Greenbrier High School and was of the Church of Christ Faith. George was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ted and David Mahan. George leaves to cherish his memory three brothers, Larry Mahan and his wife Jackie of Greenbrier, Nicky and Michael Mahan of Martinville; a special nephew, Greg Mahan; two sisters-in-law, Beverly Mahan and Margaret Mahan; and many other nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and an uncle. Although in bad health, George enjoyed his last years with his family and friends close. He loved being in the country and watching his horses. He will be missed. Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, July 26, 2012 in the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Greenbrier, (501) 679-2575. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service.
