Dale Anderson Houser

Dale A. Houser age 93 of Arkadelphia passed from this life July 24, 2012. He was born July 30, 1918 in Royal, Ark. the son of Joel Anderson and Gertrude Queenie Houser. He was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor. He wrote a book about his family called Houser-Chitwood Get-together. He was a Mobil Oil Consignee until his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in WWII and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Arkadelphia. He was preceded in death by his first wife Hazel and three year old grandson Eric Jackson. Survivors include his wife Bernice Houser of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Kay Ellen Jackson of Kansas City, Mo., and Karen Dale Malcom and her husband Allen of Gurdon, two step-sons, Omar (Leah) Wehunt and Joe (Deb) Wehunt, two step daughters, Carolyn Whisenant and Cynthia Stahal, grandchildren, Joe, Kirk, Rheana, and Carl Jackson, Kelli Beene, Terri Borderlaun, Traci LaBeff, and Shea Leon, several great-grandchildren andgreat-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday at the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Richard Sorrels officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
