James Arnold Brandes

Mr. James Arnold Brandes, 70, of Shirley, Ark. died Sunday, July 22, 2012. He was born Dec. 29, 1941 at Paterson, N.J. to Lambert and Lillian Mae (McCallum) Brandes. James was an author/poet, composer, singer, and musician. He was honored by having his poems read in front of and for many famous people. He was preceded in death by his father, Lambert Brandes. He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Jill (Brandes) Felton and Kenneth Dale Hendricks Jr. of Harvest, Ala.; six grandchildren, Benjamin Edward and Candace Felton, Matthew James Felton, Abigail Elisabeth Felton, Zachary Adam Hendricks, Daniel Tobias Hendricks, and Sarah Lillian Hendricks; one great-grandson, Joshua David Felton; mother, Lillian Mae (McCallum) Brandes of Maine; four brothers, Lambert W. and Lois Brandes of Massachusetts, David E. and Kathy Brandes of New Hampshire, Ronald G. and Janice Brandes of Maine and Leonard W. Brandes of Florida; ex-wife, Jeanetta Mae (Frank) Brandes of Tennessee; ex- son-in-law, Edward Troy Felton of Tennessee; nieces nephews, and many close friends.
