"Rusty" Stephen A. Dillon, 57, of Sherwood passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Rusty was born on February 14, 1955 in Hawthorne, California to Leo Dillon and Bethel Royce Dillon. He retired from the Arkansas State Crime Lab, as the Chief Field Investigator for the Medical Examiner's Office. Rusty truly loved life and believed you had to live it to the fullest. He really knew what was important, took the time to do it, and refused to let life pass him by. Rusty was preceded in death by his mom, Bethel Royce Dillon. He is survived by his dad, Leo Dillon and one brother, David Dillon. Rusty leaves his wife of 36 years, Robbie Dillon, their one and only son, the pride of both of their lives, Stephen Dillon Jr. He leaves many family members whom he loved each so very dearly and too many friends to even begin to try to mention. Each person who was privileged to be touched by Rusty's life knew they had a true friend and one they could always count on at any time. He was faithful and true to what he believed and never wavered. Both the visitation and funeral will be at First Pentecostal Church, 1401 Calvary Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas (aka "The Big Church on I-40"). The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday and the Funeral will be at 11 a.m., Saturday. Burial will immediately follow at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of North Little Rock Funeral Home, 758-1170. An online obituary and guestbook are available at www.nlrfh.com.
