Virginia Harness

Virginia Harness, age 84, of Bigelow, Ark. passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012. She was born in Paris, Ark. on July 11, 1927 to Earnest and Lois Ballinger Eason. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray J. Harness; one son, Ray Harness, Jr.; in addition to one brother, four sisters and her parents. Virginia is survived by her sons, Richard Harness (Linda) of Cashiers, N.C.; James Harness (Shirley) of Benton, Ark. and Kelly Harness (Karen) of Benton, Ark.; two daughters; Ellen Talley (Allen) of Bigelow, Ark. and Vicki McClendon of Ward, Ark.; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; in addition to three sisters, Juanita Busbice of Grapevine, Texas; Anna Turner of Scott, Ark. and Katherine Burleson of Pine Bluff, Ark. During her career Virginia worked as a secretary with the Farmers Home Administration and an accountant for Myers General Agency. She was also a member of Harmony Baptist Church, Perryville, Ark. A funeral service will be held for her on at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 JFK Blvd, Hwy 107, North Little Rock. Officiating the service will be Reverend Jim Bynum. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2012 at Roller-Owens. Interment at Hicks Cemetery, Lonoke, Ark.
