Opal Margaret Powers, age 83, of Texarkana, Ark., died Friday, June 22, 2012 at her home. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at County Avenue Baptist Church with Bro. Roger Copeland officiating. Burial will follow at East Memorial Gardens under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to County Avenue Baptist Church, Building Fund, 3604 County Avenue, Texarkana, Ark. 71854 or to A.T. and Ida Lee Powers Scholarship at Missionary Baptist Seminary, 5224 Stagecoach Road, Little Rock, Ark. 72204.
