Neomi Sue Hooks Johnson

Neomi Sue Hooks Johnson, age 84, of Banks, Ark. died Wednesday June 27, near Warren, Ark. in an automobile accident. Born May 20, 1928 in Banks, Ark. a daughter of the late Frank Hooks and Maude Kitchens Hooks she was a retired teachers aid from the Warren School system, member of Banks Missionary Baptist Church and the widow of David Allen Johnson Jr. who died April 23, 1991. They were united in marriage May 24, 1948. Also, preceding her in death was a brother Warren Thomas Hooks. Survivors are one son, David Allen Johnson, III, Banks, Ark.; one daughter Debra Johnson West, Banks, Ark., a son-in-law Freddie West, Banks, Ark., four sisters, Georgia Smith, Lillian Baker, Dixie Young and Shelby Kiersey all of Banks, Ark.; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services 10 a.m., Saturday, June 30, Frazer's Chapel. Burial in McFarland Cemetery at Banks, Ark. by Frazer's Funeral Home. Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Friday, June 29, at Frazer's.
