Remona House

Remona House, "Mrs. Monie" as she was lovingly called by everyone who knew her went Home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, June 27, 2012. "Mrs. Monie" was born August 7, 1937 at Hickory Ridge, Ark. to Millard and Jo Sullins. She attended Hickory Ridge Schools and lived her whole life in Hickory Ridge, Ark. In her lifetime she wore many hats, wife, mother, nanny, a seamstress and for over 20 years was the lunch lady in the Hickory Ridge, Vanndale and Cross County Elementary Schools. Remona was an avid Razorback fan never missing a game of football, baseball or basketball. Her favorite pastimes were reading, playing cards, crosswords, plastic canvas, scrabble and spending all the time she could with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Patrick Gene House Sr.; her parents, Millard "Tude" Sullins and Jo (Dye) Sullins, her sisters, Doris Grimes, Naomi Rolland, Theda Fern Mitchell, Billie Mitchell and also Butch Sullins. She is survived by her children, Batisha Woodard (Gary) of Widener, Ark., Nancy Goodwin (Larry) of Marion, Ark., Pat House (Lessia) of Decatur, Ala, grandchildren, Jaime Bowden (Mike), Heather Cupples, Gary Woodard Jr., Ashley Linderman (Randall), Patrick House III, Hesston House, and Lexy House, great-grandchildren, Hunter Gross, Brayden Bowden, Trae Bowden, Cameron Bowden, Mallory Cupples & Ethan Linderman and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation is Saturday, 1 to 2 p.m. with services following at 2 p.m. at Kernodle Funeral Home, with burial will be in Lewis Cemetery in Hickory Ridge, Arkansas.
