Frances V. Eschenbrenner passed away at home in Little Rock the morning of February 29, 2012 at the age of 90 after a brief illness. She was born November 11th, 1921 in Fort Scott, Kansas to Edwin M. and Lucille C. Vandiver. She met her husband, Henry W. Eschenbrenner, a pilot in the Air Force, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. They married April 2nd, 1944 and eventually moved to North Little Rock, living in Lakewood where they raised their daughter, Susan. They shared many years together and made many, many close friends. She was a sustainer in the Junior League of North Little Rock and a lifetime member and supporter of The ARC Arkansas. Frances was a loving wife and wonderful mother. Frances had a career as a legal secretary with John H. Haley. She loved every minute of the 16 years they worked together and only retired after her husband's retirement from Timex in 1984. In 1998, Frances moved to Little Rock to be nearer her daughter but maintained close ties to her friends in North Little Rock. She made new friends in Little Rock and became an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church where she later became a Deacon. Frances loved her church, friends, parties, traveling, playing bridge, reading, keeping up with what was going on everywhere and talking with people. She would always say to people- "Have Fun." Her positive outlook, kind words and loving spirit will be greatly missed by al who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her sister, Rose Mary Tucker. She leaves behind her loving daughter who will miss her so very much, Susan Lee Eschenbrenner (Richard Cook) of Little Rock, her brother–in-law, Kelly B. Tucker of Tuscaloosa, Ala., several nephews, a great-nephew and his family. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Saturday, March 3 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Little Rock. The family will visit with guests following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, 4501 Rahling Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72223, Paralyzed Veterans of America, 7 Mill Brook Road, Wilton, N.H. or one's favorite charity.
