Carolyn Jean Dixon

Carolyn Jean Dixon was born October 23, 1947 and passed away on February 29, 2O12 at the age of 66. Carolyn was born the 11th child to parents Sam and Ceotris Sims of Tucker, Arkansas. Carolyn was educated in the Plum Bayou school district and attended AM&N College, now University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized First Pentecostal in Tucker, Arkansas. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Samuel (Babe) Sims, Orlando (Billy) Sims and two sisters, Queen Easter Smith and Louise (Tootsie) Scott. Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories a son, Larry Dixon (Shonda) of Flowery Branch, Georgia; two daughters, Monica Brown (Michael) and Mariquilla Dixon both of Atlanta Georgia; a brother, Larry Sims of Pine Bluff, Ark. and a sister, Nathalia Edwards of Pine Bluff, Ark; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 10, 2O12 at Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Georgia at 2 p.m.
