Richard Duch

Richard Duch, 79, of Hazen, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012. He served in the 187th Airborne Unit in the Korean War, farmed in Hazen until retiring, operated a Daycare Family Home in Hazen where he and his wife were always known as "Papaw and Mamaw" to many children, and he was a member of St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Slovak. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene and one son, Ronnie Duch. He is survived by two sons, David Duch and wife, Jeri of Hazen and Dwight Duch and wife, Lee Ann of Forrest City; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2012 at St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church Parish Hall. Rosary will be in the Parish Hall at 7 p.m. following visitation. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 10, 2012 at St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Slovak. Burial with military honors will be in the Slovak Catholic Cemetery.
