Glen Dora Bridges

Glen Dora Bridges, 91, of Cabot died Thursday, March 8, 2012. She was born July 10, 1920 in Hollywood, Missouri to the late John Rufus and Mattie Byrd Perkins Rowe. Mrs. Bridges was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and, for 10 years, worked as a nurse. She loved the Lord and her family and enjoyed her garden. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bridges was preceded in death by her husband, Durwood Enoch Bridges, six brothers and one sister. Mrs. Bridges is survived by three daughters, Glenda Faye Dollinger of Carlisle, Marcelle Squire and Madeline Beal, both of Austin; five grandchildren, Karen Norton, Robin Dollinger, Dana Simmons, Kristen Boswell and Monica Ring; six great-grandchildren, Christopher Norton, Hannah Norton, Braxton Ring, Caden Ring Olivia Dollinger and Eli Dollinger, as well as one great-great grandson, Cade Norton. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 in the funeral home chapel with Brother David Mitchell officiating.
