Dewey Douglas Bevill
Dewey Douglas "DD" Bevill, 47, of Austin, Ark., has gone away to be with the Lord. He was simply a man with simple needs. He was a loving son, brother and friend to all. He loved all music, but his favorites were bluegrass and gospel. He loved the outdoors and ham radio. He was born on Jan. 6, 1965 in Heidleberg, Germany, to JoAnn (Vincent) Cleveland and Homer W. Bevill. He graduated from The School for the Blind in Little Rock, Ark. in 1985. He died on March 8, 2012 due to complications of illness. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Robert Vincent; two cousins, David Charles Vincent, Jordan Vincent; a step-brother, John Fallon; and two sets of grandparents, Hugh (Lena) Vincent and Dewey (Vanteen) Bevill. He is survived by a host of people: his father, Homer W. Bevill of Floyd; his mother, JoAnn Cleveland of Austin; stepfather, RE Cleveland of Austin; three brothers, Richard (Rebecca) Bevill of Searcy, David (Joie) Bevill of Warrensburg, Mo., Tim Bevill of Beebe; two step-brothers, Jerry (Lisa) Cleveland of Cabot, James Cleveland of Austin; four sisters, Jo Yvonne (Don) Barker of Judsonia, Ailene (Jason) Clark, Leah Young of Beebe and Laura Gail Bevill of Ward and stepsister Amanda Cleveland. Viewing will be conducted at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Greater Vision Sanctuary, Beebe, Ark. with pastor, Bill Baldridge officiating. Pallbearers were; Gary Young, Dan Trent, Jerry Cleveland, Don Barker, Richard Bevill, Tim Bevill. Honorary Pallbearer; Robert Busch. Interment followed in Shorts Cemetary, Butlerville, with Arkansas Funeral Care taking care of the arrangements.
