Tyrus H. Miller

Tyrus H. Miller, 91, of Heber Springs, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012. He was born Oct. 6, 1920 in Augusta, Ark., a son of the late Ray R. and Mae P. Hardy Miller. He worked for Helena-West Helena Sportwear, was a member of the American Legion and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 52 years, Catherine Miller, two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by one daughter Rebecca L. Chancey and her husband, Darrell of Ward, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Allen Hindsley and his fiance, Cindy of Ward, and Randal Hindsley and his wife, Brandy of Ward; one great-grandchild, Taylor Hindsley of Ward; three sisters, Gladys Douglas of Wynne, Ar., Norma Bowden of Helena-West Helena, Ark., and Stella Henson and her husband, James of Cherry Valley, Ark.; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. There will be an open visitation on Monday, March 12, 2012 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, (501)224-8300. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Magness Cemetery in Heber Springs, Ark.
