Eleen Johnston, went home to her Heavenly Father Sunday, March 11, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Adams and Eva Adams Stewart, her nine siblings and her husband, Omer Johnston. Mrs. Johnston was born April 21, 1921 in Warren, Arkansas and graduated from Banks High School, where she played basketball and was voted "most beautiful." She was a homemaker and a member of Crossett First Baptist Church, where she had worked with vacation bible school and GA's. She enjoyed her time as a volunteer at Crossett Health Center, as well as her travels around the country with her husband and friends. Her children will always remember her special lemon pies and family games that she often won. Survivors include two daughters, Jan Keith (Terry) of Little Rock, Ark. and Glynda Richardson (Jim) of Navarre Beach, Fla., four grandchildren; Molly Keith, Lindsay May Thompson, Laura Leigh Richardson, James Anthony Richardson II, and six great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend appreciation for the care and support "Mom" was given by Baptist Hospital's third floor staff, the Pillars of Crossett, and to the Ginny and Bob Shell Center (Parkway Village) in Little Rock, where she lived her last few months. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jamie Staley officiating. Interment will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, Ark. (www.jonesservice.com). Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
