Eric Chase Goforth, 18, of Cabot died Friday, March 9, 2012. He was born June 23, 1993 in Searcy to DeAnna Thomason Goforth Haas and Brian Goforth. Eric was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God. Eric was a senior at Cabot High School and had attended the Arkansas Fire Training Academy at Camden where he earned accreditation by the International Accreditation Congress in hazardous material awareness, personal protective equipment. Eric was an emergency medical first responder and a member of the North Pulaski Volunteer Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Charlene Thomason. Eric is survived by his parents Brian Goforth and his wife, Denise of Cabot and DeAnna Hass of Beebe as well as his stepfather Jeff Haas. He is also survived by his sisters, Ally Goforth, Kierstin Haas, McKinzee Haas, and Sarah Haas; his paternal grandparents, William and Sarah Goforth; his maternal grandfather, James Thomason; step-grandparents Charles and Joanne DeSellens as well as aunts and uncles, Ronnie Thomason, Scott Thomason, Theresa Harris, Lori Gray and Wayne DeSellens and a special cousin, Curtis Myrick. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Brother Terry Fortner officiating.
