Chad Clift

Chad Frederick Clift, born on December 18, 1976, departed this life on Sunday, March 11, 2012. He was 35 years old. Although Chad was a Benton native, and 1995 Benton graduate, he had spent time living in California, Illinois, and Louisiana. Additionally, Chad traveled the world during his service in the United States Marine Corps from 1995 to 1999.\ Chad is survived by his wife, Amanda Biehslich Clift, son Cole, and daughters, Emersyn and Tristyn. He is also survived by Betty Clift (mother), of Covington, Louisiana, Paul Clift (father) of Benton, Kathy Clift (step mother) of Benton, Chandler Clift (brother) of Benton, Bill and Kay Howard (in-laws) of Lonsdale and Ray Biehslich (in-law) of Benton. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Chad lived each day as if there was no tomorrow and put forth his entire effort into each thing he was involved in. He was a dedicated Marine, employee at Verizon Wireless, husband and father. In his spare time, Chad enjoyed camping, boating, cooking, Razorback football and NASCAR. He was extremely proud of being an Eagle Scout and enjoyed spending time involving Cole in Scouting. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Boy Scouts of American Pack 53, c/o Jeff McLian, 1106 Bryant, Ark. 72022 or an account that has been set up to benefit his children. Donations can be made at Bank of the Ozarks in the name of Amanda Clift, c/o The Chad Clift Memorial Fund. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 15, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton.
