Vernon Bonceile Edge

Vernon Bonceile "Bonnie" Edge, a long-time resident of West Memphis until 2003, passed away March 13th, 2012 after losing her battle to lung cancer. She was born January 18th, 1937 in Pontotoc, Mississippi to Hugh and Kathleen McNabb. She met the love of her life, William Julius Edge, in 1956 and married that same year. Their vow of almost 56 years of marriage is a true testament of how much she loved her life and her family. She, along with her husband, served the West Memphis area with 42 years of service from their business, AAA Sheet Metal Company. Being one of the founders of Highway Baptist Church in Marion, she lived her life to serve God and those around her. She devoted all of her time and energy to her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, William Julius Edge of Drasco, Ark.; her children, Bonnie Gwen Hart (Frankie) of Byhalia, Miss., and Larry Edge (Debbie) of Heber Springs, Ark.; her grandchildren, Buddy Hart (Caiden Britt) of Southaven, Miss., Dawn Tredway (Jeff) of Memphis, Tenn., and Krystal Edge Grimes (Steven) of Vilonia, Ark.; her great-granddaughter, Kalli Mosley; her siblings, Jean Gardner (Buddy) of West Memphis, Ark., Larry Hugh McNabb of Apopka, Fla., and Trudy McNabb of Ocoee, Fla; and her nieces, Kathy Mattson (Gwenda Williams) of Jefferson City, Mo., and Connie Alford (Mitch) of Marion, Ark. She is preceded in death by her children, William Julius Edge II (Jay) and Rebecca Edge; her parents, Hugh and Vernon Kathleen; and her sister, Shirley McNabb. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Roller-Citizen's Funeral Home in West Memphis, Ark. Visitation will be Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2012 at the funeral home; burial will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park, Marion, Ark.
