Novlain Minick Smith Leisner 90, took her trip on the old Gospel Ship to the Hills of Glory on Monday, March 12, 2012 surrounded by her sister, pastor and a granddaughter in law Teresa Smith who helped her for several months. She was born September 28, 1921 to John P. and Vannah Minick in Big Flat, Arkansas. She loved to sing, and attend church faithfully at First Assembly of God in Clinton, AR. She taught Sunday School and sang hymns in church. She was a loving mother, grandma, and great-grandma to all. She was a teacher, mentor, advisor, prayer warrior, and provider for others. She was preceded in death by her parents, father of her children Paul Smith and Lloyd Leisner, a son, Mearlon Latting, a grandson, Tony Smith, two brothers, Vester and Charles Minick, two sisters-in-law, Willadean Sisk Minick and Vada B. Minick. She is survived by her two children, Jay (Wanda) Smith of Bald Knob, Ark.; and Bivian (Carl) Rice of Bee Branch, Ark.; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, two brothers, Lee Minick of Little Rock, Ark.; and Johnny (Marcie) Minick of Smyrna, Tenn.; sister, Wilma Johnson of Bee Branch, Ark.; sister-in-law Rita Minick of Smyrna, Tenn.; and a host of step-children, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers: Paul Taber, Todd Smith, Louie Smith, Brandon Taber, T.J. Smith, and Gary Minick. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. and Funeral Service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2012 at First Assembly of God Clinton, Arkansas with Pastors Bobby Minick, Tony Minick, Johnny Minick and Michael Powers officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Mountain Cemetery Bee Branch, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to: First Assembly of God for Womens Ministry P.O. Box 158 Clinton, Arkansas 72031.
