Vernon Sing

Vernon Sing, 64, of White Hall, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at home. He was born May 7, 1947 in Pine Bluff, son of Joe P. and Catherine O'Kelley Sing. Mr. Sing was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School. He attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville before a brief stint in the United States Army during Vietnam. He worked as a social worker with the Arkansas Department of Human Services and Department of Corrections. Mr. Sing was an active member of Disabled American Veterans. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Dianne Clark Sing, whom he married December 4, 1984 in Pine Bluff; son, Shea Clark Sing of White Hall; and two brothers, Joe Sing, Jr. of Tulsa Oklahoma and Lee Sing of Little Rock. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Monday, March 19, 2012 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Chaplain James Helfers officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, March 19, 2012, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Robinson's.
