Bobby Wayne Clark

Dr. Bobby Wayne Clark passed from this life into eternal joy and peace on March 16, 2012 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. Bobby was born on June 10, 1943 in Tichnor to Lonnie William Clark and Luie Mae Vent Clark. He grew up in Wild Goose Bayou on a houseboat until he started school at Gillett. Bobby surrendered to preach at Unity Baptist Church at DeWitt under the ministry of Bro. Jerry Miller. He has pastored several churches, always having a heart for missions. He has spent the lat 11 years working in Mexico on Mission field with support of churches and friends. There have been churches built, seminaries started, missionaries supported and many people come to Christ. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Paulette Clark and wife, Betty Sue Clark, mother of their children. Survivors are his wife, Chessie; son, Darrell Clark (Sonya) from Los Angeles, Calif.; daughter, Martha Ferguson (Michael) of Oklahoma City, Okla.; sister, Susan Vance (Lynn) of Little Rock; stepdaughter, Renee Reed (Steve) of Beverly Hills, Fla.; stepson, Jeff Box of McComb, Miss.; grandchildren, Lane, Lauren, Monica, Nathan, Sara, Joy, Ben, Carrie and Drew; great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Amelia. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Unity Baptist Church at DeWitt with Bro. Neal Clark, Bro. Cliff Hughes and Bro. Kirk Hall under the direction of Essex Funeral Home, DeWitt. Interment will be at Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens. Family requests memorials to El-Rey-Jesus Ministries, P.O. Box 384, Hampton, Ark., 71744. The God-called mission work will continue through the dearest friends of his lifetime, Steve and Donna Gwin who he loved like his children. Visitation is Sunday, 2 to 4 at the funeral home.
