Frank Aloysius Miles III

FRANK ALOYSIUS MILES III, 73, of Little Rock, died Monday, March 12, 2012. Mr. Miles was born Sept. 22, 1938 in Monroe, La. to Frank A. Miles Jr. and Odena Schellinger Miles. He grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, and attended Texas Christian University. He graduated magna cum laude from the American University School of International Service in Washington, D.C. After graduation, he worked for the US Foreign Service, the US Office of Economic Opportunity, American Education Publications at Connecticut Wesleyan University, the National Portrait Gallery, the National Drug Abuse Center in Washington, and the Calculon and Planning Research Corporations. He moved to Little Rock from Washington in 1988 and worked for Opinion Research, Inc. His parents later moved here and he helped care for them until their deaths. He is survived by four cousins, Sue Shoemaker of Plano, Texas, Rebecca Dozier of Austin, Texas, Renee Christensen of Fullerton, Calif., and Michele Chatelle of Santa Ana, Calif. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, March 19, 2012 at Christ Episcopal Church with Rev. Scott Walters officiating. Arrangements made by Arkansas Funeral Care, Jacksonville.
