Fred L. Ramsey

Freddie Lynn Ramsey, age 64, of Romance, Ark., died March 17, 2012. He was born Dec. 27, 1947, in El Paso, Ark. to the late Thomas Jefferson Ramsey and Stella Corrine Griffith Ramsey. Mr. Ramsey lived his Christian faith through his life and career. He was a dedicated teacher and administrator spanning almost four decades, most of them spent in public schools; Beebe, Greenbrier, Shirley and Rose Bud. He finished his career with Conway Christian Schools. Some of his life passions were watching the kids at school functions, playing golf, and spending time with his family. He lived by the motto, "Don't take life too seriously or death to lightly." He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Thomas Ramsey, J.H. Ramsey, Jimmy Dale Ramsey and William "Bill" Ramsey; two sisters, Bobbie Moncrief, and Patsy Martin. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Brenda Noblitt Ramsey, a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Julie Ramsey, a daughter and son-in-law, Angela D. Ramsey Turner and Sammie Turner II, all of Fayetteville, Ark., three grandsons Sammie "Trey" Turner III, Isaac Turner, and Aidan Ramsey, two brothers Johnny Ramsey of North Little Rock, and Danny Ramsey of Cabot, five sisters Jefferene Hoofman of Vilonia, Theda McGhee of Perry, Dorothy Orr of Texarkana, Sandra Roberts of Scott, and Debbie Wright of Perry. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Roller McNutt Funeral Home, Conway (501-327-7727). Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday March 21, 2012 at Central Baptist Church Conway, Ark. Officiated by Charles Bane. Burial will follow at Vilonia Cemetary, Vilonia, Ark.
