Arthur Paul Bertanzetti

Lt. Col. Arthur Paul Bertanzetti, age 93, a resident of Irving, Texas, previously of Sherwood, Ark., died Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Baylor Medical Center, Irving, Texas. Born Dec. 13, 1918 in Fredricktown, Pa. to Bartolo Bertanzetti and Mary Vechnak Bertanzetti, he was a decorated veteran of WW II, a POW, awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. As a Squadron Commander in the Air Force, a beloved husband, father and grandfather he touched the lives of many. Preceded in death by his wife, Helen Marie Bertanzetti on Nov. 19, 2006 and two grandchildren Daniel Raymond Bertanzetti and William Stephen Bertanzetti, survivors include his sons Arthur Wayne Bertanzetti, Paul James Bertanzetti and wife Dr. Franki Bertanzetti of Irving, Texas, and William David Bertanzetti and wife Cathy Bertanzetti, RN, of Birmingham, Ala.; grandchildren Lauren Cordray Esq., 1st Lt. Kate Bertanzetti, Matthew Bertanzetti, and Nicholas Bertanzetti, Brett Moore, who was like a grandchild to him, and his wife, Terri and their children Joshua and Ryan, Rebecca Moore, who was like a granddaughter to him, Lloyd Halsey, who was like a son to him, Genie Moore, who was like a daughter to him and long time beloved family friends Juanita Halsey and Arlene Wolfe and their families. Mass of Christian burial is 12 noon, Friday, March 23 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7000 JFK Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark., with Rev. Tom Elliott as celebrant. Reception at the church will follow the Mass.
