Earl Lester Smith, age 96, of Shirley, AR went to be with his LORD and Savior Saturday, March 17, 2012. He was born in Unionville, Iowa on December 5, 1915. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Washington Smith and Clementine May Smith; brothers, Ernest, Faye, Edsel and Milo Smith: sisters, Zelma, Ina and Hazel and his first wife of 59 years, Maudie June Osborne Smith. Earl is survived by his wife, Myrtle Hightshoe Smith; his daughter, Betty Gaston; grandchildren Christy Lester (Michael), Kirk Gaston (Amy); great-grandchildren, Nicholas Lester (Leann), Lindsey Phillips (Mike), Kyle Gaston, Kody Gaston (Jessica); great-great-grandchildren, Austin Weaver, Michael Weaver, Daniel Lester, Gabriel Gaston, Rochelle Gaston; step-children, Cathy Baschke (Bill), Joyce Berry (Rick), Danny Hightshoe (Barb), Kristy Pruitt (Ken); nine step-grandchildren, eight step-great-grandchildren, and 2 step-great-great-grandchildren.
