Bobbye Elizabeth Parker

Bobbye Elizabeth Parker 81, was born August 30, 1930 in Hazen, Arkansas to John and Ruth Minton. She passed away peacefull at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas on March 10, 2012. Bobbye and John Parker were married in 1949 and later divorced in 1981. Bobbye and John were instrumental in establishing the Rainbow Girls organization in Topeka. She sold real estate in Topeka for many years for Century 21 and then Greenbrier. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister. Bobbye is survived by four daughters, Connie Haybarker (Brian), Carol McFadden, Vickie Paker-boos (Clem)and youngest daughter, Heather Parker (Greg) and son Mike Parker. She also left behind 10 grandkids, two great-grandkids and last but not least, her loyal companion, Brutus, her dog. Her tenacity for life and her willingness to fight to live another day was an inspiration to all that knew her well. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2012. Visitation will be Friday evening, March 23, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen, Arkansas. Interment will be in the Center Point Cemetery.
