Dannie Walter Colness

Dannie Walter Colness, 69, of Jacksonville died Tuesday, March 20, 2012. He was born February 1, 1943 in Tower-Sudan, Minnesota to the late Donald and Alli Betty Marttila Colness. Mr. Colness served our country for 21 years in the U. S. Air Force and served fellow veterans for an additional 20 years working for the Veteran's Administration at Fort Roots. Mr. Colness is survived by his wife, Bonnie Louise Strauser Colness; two sisters, Pat Tollefson and her husband, Gale of Minnesota and Susan Dickson and her husband, John of Montana; one brother, Chris Colness of Minnesota and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Graveside services will be 4 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Bayou Meto Cemetery in Jacksonville under the direction of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home and Crematory (501) 982-2136.
