Nellie Louise Campbell

Mrs. NELLIE "LOUISE" WINFREY CAMPBELL, age 85 of Sherwood, went to be with her lord on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of Joe and Sylvia Winfrey of Newport, Ark., born Aug. 30, 1926. Nellie was an active member of Cherrywood Missionary Baptist Church for more than 40 years and a lover of Gospel music. Her favorite things in life included: reading, baking, watching her "soaps," Hawaii and visits from her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Charles and Billy Joe Raymond. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Gerald D. Campbell; daughter, Sylvia (Kevin) Hickey; three grandchildren, Reed Flocks, Connor Flocks and Ridge Hickey, all of Fort Smith; one sister, Peggy Olsen of El Dorado, Ark., and a special aunt and uncle, Bea and Orville Knopp of Newport, Ark.; brother-in-law, Karon G. Campbell of Boyce, La., and sisters-in-law, Margie Sue Farrar, also of Boyce, La. and E. Ann Purcell, of Sherwood, Ark. She also leaves to cherish her memory: many nieces, nephews and cousins, whom she loved dearly. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m., Monday, March 26 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, located at 7724 Landers Rd. in North Little Rock. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. following visitation in Rest Hills Chapel with burial to follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
