Thomas J. Burton

Thomas J. Burton, 68, a resident of White Hall, died Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Drew County Memorial Hospital in Monticello. Born April 11, 1943, in Little Rock, he was a son of Claude and Helen Kulbeth Burton. Mr. Burton was reared and received his early education in Little Rock. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Thomas James Burton married Pamela Dice Corley on Sept. 3, 1994, in Pine Bluff. Mr. Burton was a tool and die maker for the Pine Bluff Arsenal until his retirement. Mr. Burton was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Pam Burton of White Hall; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Kenny Wine of Little Rock; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas J. Burton Jr. and Leah; daughter, Leslie Hopson of Jefferson; six grandchildren, Josie Wine, Mallory Wine, Braxton Burton, Landon Bell, Drew Hopson, and Noah Hopson; one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Jack Morrison of North Little Rock; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert (Bob) and Ann Burton of Akron, Ohio. The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2012, at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Pastor Richard Dice officiating.
