Kella Silliman Salmon

Kella Silliman Salmon, age 92, of Stephens, Ark. died Sunday, March 25, 2012 at her home with family beside her. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was the matriarch of the family. She was born in Stephens on October 24, 1919 and has made Stephens her home for 92 years. She was a former Railroad Telegrapher for the St. Louis Southwestern RR Company for many years and a co-owner of Salmon's Esso Service Station. She was a member of the 3rd Street Church of Christ in Stephens. She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Ella Silliman; her sisters, Dolly D. Silliman and Lula Mae Crumpler Smith; son-in-law, Larry Cheatham and the late Willis A. "Pete" Salmon. She is survived by her children, Netta Salmon Holloway, Maye Delaney and husband, Gary all of Stephens, Ark. and Kaye Cheatham of Stamps, Ark.; one son, Henry Salmon and wife, Debra of Stephens, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Marie Williamson and husband, Richard, Tim Millican and wife, Karen, Jackie Martin and husband, Darren and Pete Holloway, Glenn Delaney and wife, Adriane, Kelly Delaney Cheatham, Allen Cheatham and wife, Roxanne, David Salmon and wife, Julie, Mike Salmon and wife, Leslie; twenty one great grandchildren, Shawna Bevins and husband, Matt, Brittany Allen and husband, Ryan and Whittney Williamson, Truss and Jordan Holloway, Garret Martin, Tyson and Kella Millican, Jake and Julian Cheatham, Ty and Hastin Delaney, Brayden, Isabelle and Hays Salmon, Dalton Salmon, Brittany Pelfrey and Daniel Perea, Ashley and Tristin Cheatham and Dustin McMurrough; nieces, Glenda Crumpler Bounds and Sharon Crumpler Fenske; loving friends, Imo Gene Waller, Linda Jackson and Frances Greene; and numerous other friends and relatives. Services will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the 3rd Street Church of Christ in Stephens and burial will be at the Stephens Cemetery in Stephens, Ark.
