Nell Byrd Ralph

Mrs. Nell Byrd Ralph, 85, of Parkdale, died Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the Pillars Assisted Living Facility in Crossett. She was a native of Alexandria, Louisiana and grew up in Jerome, Arkansas. She was a resident of Parkdale for 60 years and she was a member of the Parkdale United Methodist Church. She will forever be remembered as a loving wife and devoted mother, who spent her lifetime making the lives of those around her better. She gave all of herself to her family, her pets and the Lord. She is preceded in death by her husband, John H. Ralph in 2002; her mother, Hazel Outlaw Byrd and a sister, Delle Byrd White. She is survived by a son, Harrison Ralph and wife, Beverly, of Crossett; a daughter, Nancy Ralph of Brewster, New York and a brother, Lamar Byrd of San Diego, California. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation for the skilled and compassionate care provided to her by her caregivers, Kathy Hampton, Nadine Parker, Latissie Hampton, Ann Johnson and Laptosha Johnson. Graveside services and burial will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in the Parkdale Cemetery with Dr. Russell Moore officiating. Pallbearers are Glen Barnett, Joe Garner, Daniel Smith, James Crossley, John Bualt and Jerry Ford.
