JULIA MAE (BIG MOMA) KERR BARRON, 91, of Gravel Ridge, Ark. passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012. She was born Dec. 1, 1920 in Little Rock, Ark. to the late Garrett and Alpha (Benefield) Kerr. Julia and her beloved husband, Cecil (Papy) lived at Scott, Ark. for many years on the Old River and were members of the Rod & Reel Club. She was a member of Lynch View Baptist Church. Mrs. Barron previously worked for Tuff Nutt Garment factory for over 30 years. She is survived by daughter, Edith Bennett and husband, Gary of North Little Rock and son, C.J. Barron and wife, Linda of Gravel Ridge; five grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and raised many children. The family wishes to extend a special love felt thanks to the staff of Robinson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for her care. They are very special people and we love them all! Funeral service will held 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 29 at Rest Hills. Burial will be at 11 a.m. at the National Cemetery, Little Rock, Ark. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Monday, May 28 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, located at 7724 Landers Rd. in North Little Rock.
