Otis Bruce Canady Sr., 68, transitioned into eternal life on October 30, 2012 at Baptist Hospital. Otis served as a deacon of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. He was a former employee of Montgomery Ward for 32 years. He is preceded in death by his parents Iodies and Dorothy Canady. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 47 years, Sandra Henderson Canady; two sons, Otis Bruce Canady Jr. and Roderick Canady of Little Rock; one daughter, LaJuana Canady Smith of Arlington, Texas; two grandsons, London Canady of Little Rock and Vernon "VJ" Smith Jr. of Arlington, Texas; one granddaughter, Amber Scott of Arlington, Texas; one great-granddaughter, Jaylea Freeman of Arlington, Texas; two brothers, Jack Canady (Jaimie) of Little Rock and Michael Canady (Sylvia) of Dallas, Ga.; six sisters, Doris Flowers of Chicago, Ill, Beverly Terry, Carolyn Williams (Bob), Gladys Canady, Pamela Smith and Sandra Lambert of Little Rock; one son-in-law, Vernon Smith Sr. of Little Rock; two brothers-in-law, Jerry (Renee) and Louis Davis of Little Rock; one sister-in-law, Bobbie Hill of Moline Acres, Mo.; god-brother and sister, Melvin and Betty McAllister of Little Rock; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Family hour: 6-7 p.m. Monday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 19th and Cedar, Little Rock. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, 19th and Oak, Little Rock, Pastor E.L.
