James T. Broadaway

James T. Broadaway, 81, of De Valls Bluff, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012. He was born in Biscoe, Arkansas on June 7, 1931 to David Paul and Edena Robbins Broadaway. He served in and retired from the U.S. Navy and the United States postal service. James was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Debbie; sisters, Nina Hopson and Naomi Schultz, and a brother, David P. Garner. He is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years, Parthena Broadaway of De Valls Bluff; his children, James T. Broadaway (Erica) of Germany, Nathaniel R. Broadaway (Ronnie) of Washington, Joseph P. Broadaway (Emily) of California, David E. Broadaway (Joyce), Sharon E. Broadaway and Anita Castile of Felig, Washington, Janie Walker (Bo) of Hot Springs, Jackie Owens (Durenda) and Vernon Owens (Sonja) both of De Valls Bluff; one brother, Wallace Broadaway (Peggy) of Conway; sister, JoAnn Kerr of Stuttgart; a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Biscoe Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Biscoe Cemetery. Arrangements are by Westbrook funeral Home of Hazen.
