John Meirose

John Meirose, 76, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at an area hospital with his family by his side. Funeral: 10 a.m., Tuesday in Arlington Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Arlington Funeral Home. Memorials: in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Easter Seals or Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. John was born in Little Rock, Ark. to Sarah Luyet Meirose and Henry F.C. Meirose where he met his wife of 42 years, Mary Margeret Powell Meirose. While living in Little Rock, he became a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. John also served for 32 years in the Army National Guard. They later moved to Arlington, where John worked as a machinist at LTV-Vought until he retired in 2001. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Meirose and his parents, Sarah and Henry Meirose. Survivors: his loving companion, Patricia Williams; daughter, Star Meirose and partner, Dianna; sons, Keith Meirose and wife, Sondra; James Meirose and wife, Lisa; sisters, DeEtta Saunders and Lavonne Mitchell; grandchildren, Cherees, Sarah, Codey, Deanne, Jake, Taylor and Noah; and great-grandchildren, Elyzabeth, Persephone, Katie, Abigail and Keith Truett.
