Judith Gail Sesser Glover passed away on November 5th, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born on August 15, 1942, in Malvern, Ark. to Austin Ramey and Margaret Fowler Sesser. She attended Malvern Public Schools, graduating in 1960, and earned her BSE in English from Henderson State Teachers College (Henderson State University) in 1963. In 1964 she married Lawson E. Glover, Jr. and worked to support their young marriage during Lawson's years as a medical student, intern, and resident. They have two children, Amy Glover Bryant (Kent) of Little Rock, and Christopher Lawson Glover of Modesto, Calif. She is also survived by her brother George Sesser (Mary) of Warrensburg, MO, two grandchildren, Jackson Thomas and Amy Caroline Bryant of Little Rock, and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and, last but not least her beloved pets Mr. Bill, Athena, and Fritz. Judy spent her life challenging herself professionally and intellectually. After college, she taught 11th grade English for one year at North Little Rock High School, and for five years at Central High School in Little Rock, where her grandson is now a freshman. When her children were old enough to go to school, she earned a second BA, in Journalism. She then enrolled in graduate school of Journalism at UALR and was one of the university's first MA's in that subject. She taught writing at UALR, was a staff writer at the Arkansas Democrat, and wrote for numerous local and national magazines. In the 1980's she began her own public relations business, Judy Glover Communications. She also worked in public relations for the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Treatment Homes, Inc., and other businesses and non-profit organizations in Little Rock. She was also a member of the Outreach Committee of the Governor's Commission on Adult Literacy. In the mid 1990's she decided to return to UALR and earned her Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW). For two years she worked at the Counseling Clinic in Benton and earned her license as an LCSW. She then worked as a therapist at Pinnacle Pointe Hospital in Little Rock. In the course of her career as a therapist, Judy studied Jungian psychology in Memphis. She incorporated much of what she learned from Jung and his interpreters into her own private practice in psychotherapy. She retired in 2011. Since her retirement she has rediscovered her early passion for painting, spent many pleasant afternoons playing Mah Jong with a group of neighborhood friends, and read widely in her many intellectual interests. Above all, she has enjoyed spending her time and sharing her love with her two grandchildren, in Little Rock and on weekends at Heber Springs. Judy was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, an ordained Elder, and a member of the Adult Choir. Honorary pallbearers are Phyllis Billingsley, Ruthe Kaplan, Nancy Milbourn, Dr. Philip J. Peters, Cherry Silliman, and Dail Stiles. A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ruebel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 10 a.m. in 2nd Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to CARE for Animals, Inc., P.O.
