Ralph David Abramson, Jr., age 65, of Holly Grove, died on November 6, 2012, surrounded by his family. David was born June 7, 1947 to Ralph D. Abramson, Sr. and Rosemary Abramson. David was preceded in death by his father, Ralph. He is survived by his mother, Rosemary of Holly Grove, his son Joshua Abramson, his daughter-in-law Shanna and his grandson, Maeson, of Tupelo, Miss. He is also survived by his brother, Judge Raymond Abramson, sister-in-law, Mockie of Holly Grove, niece, Anne Abramson and her husband, Charles Baldner of Rosewood City, Calif. and niece Emily Abramson of Harrisonburg, Va. David graduated from Holly Grove High School in 1965 and received his B.A. from Mississippi State University in 1969. After college, he managed the family farm and operated several agri-related businesses, and served on the board of directors of Merchants and Planters Bank in Clarendon, He later worked as a host at several casinos in Tunica, Miss., including the Isle of Capri, Harrah's and Sam's Town. David was an avid duck hunter and outdoorsman. He was a member of Temple Beth El in Helena. Visitation will be held between 5 and 7 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Bob Neal Funeral Home in Clarendon. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Beth El Cemetery in Helena, with Rabbi Eugene Levy officiating, Memorials may be made to the Holly Grove Library or a charity of your choice.
