Cylinda Sue DeLaughter, 55, of Little Rock passed away on November 7, 2012 after her three year battle with breast cancer. It was not a battle to be won or lost, but a journey, a path she followed of dignity, grace, and grit. While we often times don't understand the way, we must believe it is for the betterment of our soul, which leads to total serenity and peace. She was a survivor for 1092 days. Her friends and family knew her best for her generous heart, her kind, loving words of encouragement, and most of all, for her great sense of humor and ability to make the best of any situation. Cylinda lived her life to serve other by doing years of volunteer work, while she was a member of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA). She also fostered several children, including family member and foreign exchange students, and by sacrificing all of her time and energy to keep her children, and other safe, happy, healthy, and loved. Cylinda was a spunky, fun, and humorous woman, who was full of energy, and loved to laugh and have a good time with her family and friends. Her beautiful smile always lit up the room and filled everyone's heart with joy. She will be greatly missed by those that survived her, including her husband of 38 years, Merritt Dan DeLaughter; her two daughters, Charity Lea DeLaughter and Trinity Kaye Luccketta; her son-in-law, Rion Luccketta; her grandson, Luke Merritt Luccketta, her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Fry, all of Little Rock. Her mother and step-father, Jessie and Mingo Elizardo of North Little Rock; and her mother-in-law, Peggy DeLaughter of Little Rock; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lenny Starkey; her father-in-law, Nolan Merritt DeLaughter; and her grandparents, Claude and Mattie Frazier. The Family will receive friends and family from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2012, at Arkansas Funeral Care; 2620 W. Main St. in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Glad Tidings Assembly of God at 4715 Gum St. in North Little Rock, Ark. Burial will be at Cypress Valley Cemetery in Vilonia, Arkansas immediately followed by a reception at Glad Tidings Assembly of God. Flowers accepted.
