Lawrence Keith Brown

Lawrence Keith Brown, 52, a life-long North Little Rock resident passed away Thursday, November 8, after a 10+ year battle with colon cancer which he fought until the very end. Keith was born February 17, 1960 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Lawrence G and Martha I (Jean) Brown. He was a graduate of North Little Rock Northeast High School and the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville. Keith was a Professional Engineer and worked over the years for McClelland Consulting Engineers, the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality and Little Rock Wastewater Utility. Keith was an avid outdoorsman loving to hunt and fish. He was a former member of the Arkansas State Board of the National Wild Turkey Federation and a member of Finneyville Hunting Club. He took many friends and family on their first deer or duck hunt. He was also a huge Razorback fan attending many football, basketball and baseball games. Keith was preceded in death by his father and his twin sister Lisa Kay Brown. He is survived by his wife, Karen Brown; his mother, Jean Brown; sister and brother-in-law Stephanie and Eddie Peacock of Madison, Miss.; niece Courtney Peacock of Madison, Miss.; and nephews Scott Peacock and his wife Emily of Dickinson, N.D. and Dale Solomon of North Little Rock. He also leaves behind his in-laws Jimmie and Mary Solomon of North Little Rock, Mike and Kim Solomon of North Little Rock and a host of extremely caring extended family and friends as well as Rebel his trusty labrador companion. The family would like to thank Dr. Brad Baltz and his staff for the many years of care that they provided. They are true miracle workers. Also thanks to Dr. Ralph Broadwater and his staff at the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute for their miracles and care provided and last but not least to the staff at Arkansas Hospice for the wonderful care they provided. Visitation will be held from 6–8 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Arkansas Funeral Care at 2620 West Main Street in Jacksonville. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Arkansas Funeral Care Chapel with burial following at Rhodes Cemetery just south of Sheridan, Ark.
